Update 5/31/12 This car with a little front chassis brace mod it becomes instantly awesome. I have also learned that many X1 and X2 parts fit this car so upgrades can be caught at a bargain sometimes. I also have got rid of the e-clips and put the screw hinge pins in for the reliability and piece of mind. Batteries are getting cheaper and so are electronics so this buggy is a grade A- now in my book. Body style keeps dirt out better. Just a couple things missed that needed to be brought to attention. Again my 2 cents and opinion : )

******UPDATE: I have driven the crap out of this car, and I LOVE IT! I like this car so much, I pimped it out with all the option parts I could get my hands on. This car has very aggressive, yet predictable handling tendencies, and can hang with any e-buggy on the market. It responds well to setup changes, and can easily be tuned to suit your driving style. I have pushed its limits, and found its weak points, mainly the RTR grade parts on the front end, and the stock chassis. ProTek 50C and 65C 5600mAh packs fit the battery trays PERFECT, with no modification needed.*********** Just received, will update after use. First impression: Very nice car for the money. May not have the bells and whistles of other higher priced rollers, but for less than three bills its hard to beat. Compatible with the Jammin X1/X2 platform, most of the options are direct bolt ons. Includes "Inch Up" wheels, some super soft 'caliber-esq' tires, and junk foams. Tires might be decent with good foams in them. Love the look of the body, hugs the chassis nicely, has a super aggressive appearance but I still hope to see something from Pro-Line or JConcepts soon. Most importantly, the layout of the chassis appears to be well thought out, and appears to be balanced as well as any of the cars Ive seen. The included shock towers are thin, and the cast knuckles suck too...but I understand because the car is cheap. But come on OFNA the hinge pins use c-clips...no excuse for that. IMO, those are the only weak points of the chassis. I would be willing to upgrade if needed and more importantly would have been willing to pay more for something that included better quality parts. 5 stars for value, and innovative design. Would pull half a star for the cheap hinge pins if I could.

I am new to 1/8 scale, so it is really hard for me to compare to this car to other rigs. The only other 1/8 buggy I have driven was a friends RC8E. compared to that, I think the nexx has better handling and turns tighter, but I admit that was a long time ago... Most of my rigs are 1/10 scale which I have a lot of experience with. With that being said, I love this car for what it is. The chassis layout it great and very well balanced. the fact that you can use two 2s packs and its price point make it easy for a 10th scaler to make the jump to 1/8 on a budget. I was able to set my nexx up with some off brand electrics and had it running for about $500. I think this car could compete easily on the track with higher price kits, and at a much better price point. I am running a 4068 2400kv 6pole motor, 120esc, 2 4400mah 40c lipos (4s), 13t pinion, and this thing friken hauls. seriously, it is awesome. I was surprised the battery trays weren't large enough to fit the two 5000mah lipos I have, but the 4400s are tight in the trays and still have plenty of beans. I chose the OFNA because some of the parts from my Jammin SCRT10 would interchange, and so far I have been impressed with the durability of the Jammin. As far as negatives with this kit, others have hit on them already. Motor mount could be better, a little chassis flex, and the e-cilps, the shock towers look cheesy but I haven't bent any yet.. those are all easy fixes that won't set you back much if you choose to address them. I am still running it the way it came out of the box and it has been issue free. I don't think I am even going to worry about the negatives until they become issues which they haven't yet. I love this car, and it's the perfect way to get into 1/8 for not much money. Most folks say if you want to have a competitive 1/8 scale, figure on a 1000 dollar bill. Not this in this case.. Hoping I will get the chance to race it this summer and school some high dollar jobs. I was considering the VE8 for a while, but the plastic chassis issues out of the box and pinion thing kind of Killed it for me. I am super happy with my Nexx8.

The car is dialed right out of the box. However, it is not durable at all. The front shock tower bent with the first roll over. I replaced it with the carbon fiber upgrade and that broke too after about 2 weeks of light use. The chassis tweaked after about 2 packs. I had to manually straighten it out. You will definitely have to buy several upgrades for this car to make is race ready and buy the time you spend the cash on the upgrades, you could have bought a better car. Save your money and get a HB VE8 at the least. I got this for Christmas and sold it before the following January. I rated it a 2 because it did handle great and was fun to drive...when it wasn't breaking.

Hi...this buggy is awsome for the price...yes you will have to put some hop ups on it...but you will be under budget..comparing to hi class buggies..it is light...got great balance... handles great...in a straight line nothing can compare to it..great handling on the air..super durable. . Don't know how ppl say its not...i've tried to break it from day one...and it is really tough. . I did put some hop ups on it..like the chasis brace from SNS graphite.. and both shock towers...other than that, it's pretty much stock. .. and with some practice. . I'll be competing with the much more expensive rollers out there like the losis, associated and durangos... X1 X2 jammin hop ups will bolt on... this is a great buggy for the money. And parts are cheap. .and easy to fnd...

Car is very fast, needs few hop ups before race ready. Tip: boil all front suspension plastic and they will be twice as durable. Had my car for a season and a quarter and only broke once.

Nice little buggy for the price. Very well balanced and with a narrow chassis it hugs the corners very well.(given your using proper tires for the track your driving on) I ran this at a local track with a few issues I have found with it. As stated by the other person the foam inserts for the tires are junk, e-clips that should have never made it into the design, the front c-hub plastic is weak as are the upper a-arms you should by replacements to have on hand I broke mine after 2 laps...YIKES.. Also 22mm width lipo limits on battery, I have tried 2s 5200mah 35c hard case they won't fit in the battery holders. You have to use 2s 5000mah 25c max... I hope Ofna has some up grades coming soon for this. Over all a good little buggy with a lot going for it, some more fine tuning and I am sure this will be winning first place trophies!
