This is a pair of Pro-Line Gladiator II 2.2" Truck Tires in M2 Compound. Fits any 2.2" truck wheel. If you plan to do some racing as well as some backyard thrashing, this tire is for you. The Gladiator is a rugged all terrain tire that is perfect for almost any surface.

Pro-Line truck tires are generally available in M2, M3 and R3 compounds. The M2 compound is the hardest compound and will provide the longest tire life and works best on hard packed, dry tracks with high traction. If the track is wetter or less hard packed, the M3 compound tires will provide better grip with decent wear, but will generally wear faster than M2 compound tires. The new R3 rubber compound was designed by Pro-Line to provide the traction of the M3 compound yet the wear characteristics of the M2 compound. The R3 compound generally seems to work best on hard packed, blue groove tracks and is not a good all purpose tire compound (note that not all tire treads are available in R3 compound).

I bought these tires for my XXX-T and my Vader for a practice tire on my track. My track is extremely "Blue Groove" and wear on tires is extreme. But these tires stuck very well and didn't wear down very easy. So with that being said over all these tires are good practice tires for the rear of your stadium trucks!

I was using Suburb/Barcode style tires on the rear of my RC10T4 with ribbed fronts. The surface of my practice area/track near my house is a mixture of rough asphalt and loose dirt, so some of the dirt gets onto the asphalt portions of the track making for a varied and slippery surface. No jumps, so it's more like a rally course. With the Suburbs it's like driving on ice, with my fastest laps in the low 21 second range. I put Gladiators on the front and rear, and it's a night and day difference. Within 10 minutes, my fastest laps were in the low 19 seconds (2 seconds faster). Not only was the car more planted in the turns, I could run down the long straights at full throttle while keeping the car in control. With the suburbs, full throttle at any point on the straight would cause the back end to break loose. Highly recommend for loose dirt, bashing, and asphalt.

These tires grip better than the stock tires that came with my kyosho DBX. Having said that, they expand, balloon, and distort under acceleration so much the front tires take the shape of sand runner tires and it quickly wears a deep groove into the center of the front tires. I realize this is partially due to poor set up on my part but I ordered some low profile proline bowtie tires to test next hoping they will distort not so much.

Not so much happy with them. In the very first rides, they work well, but after 5 lipos, when the square pins start to be slightly used, they start to slip more and more. Perhaps they work well in the blue groove, but in the dry loose dirt, they perform extremely poor.
