Had one of these in the steering of an 1/8th scale for the last 4 race meetings. No problems at all. Good value servo. Buy an aluminium arm for it.
Had this since March of 2014 - and of course I've done it to myself again ! Why ? Dang just call me stupid! Been trying to be a loyal Savox customer - even bought off their site - but each time this particular servo does not like to be on steering in a Nitro 1/8 Losi 3.0 ! Losses power / intermittent power / just flat out turns off.
There is NO DOUBT savox customer service rep. Joel will replace it he is awesome in that department but its the servo that is having the issues. I have sent back 3 and received back 3 in the last year.
This time I bought off of Amain thinking it would be different ? Boy was I wrong again - same exact problems as before. Looks as though I will try to get warrenty replacement again and go PROTEK this time around and keep this as a back up to the back up.
Did you set your EPA's correctly Ken, or was the servo working against binds, or stops?
I Must say that this is a good servo, BUT Savox Does NOT FULLY REPAIR THERE SERVOS. I tried to get the wire fix and the USA office NO they don't have the tools for that type of repair. So if you send it to Taiwan it will take 4-6 week if you can get the TW address. good luck.

I had this bought from other site. It become crazy, moving by itself For not even a gallon. You pay peanut- you get monkey. I should have bought a high end like protek 170s which is in order now.
I put this thing in my 1/8 scale Tamiya TRF801XT with an RC Product Designs Brushless Conversion, running a 30c 14.8v lipo, and this servo slaps my AKA I-Beam's around like they aren't even there! TONS of torque and plenty fast enough for my 1/8 scale. BUY THIS SERVO, you wont be disappointed!
I had this on throttle and it burned less that 2 hours in total of usage time. Put in a new replacement and it happened again. Should I use Ko Propo RSx Power H.C next?
