The SR3100 is specifically designed to take full advantage of the advanced DSM2 spread spectrum protocol that Spektrum uses in the DX3R racing system. This means it will provide the fastest response of any spread spectrum receiver, in addition to glitch-free performance. And it gives you all these advantages in a package that is small enough to fit on a 1/8 scale chassis with ease.
NOTE: The SR3100 features DSM2™ second-generation technology and is only compatible with transmitters that utilize DSM2 protocol (like the DX3R). DSM® first-generation transmitters will not work with the SR3100.

I have three of these for over a year now and not a lick of trouble out of them. Have worked flawlessy for me.
I purchased a used DX3 transmitter with a used SR3100 over 2 years ago. Both products have performed flawlessly for since my purchase. I've had this receiver in many different trucks from a Tamiya TXT-1 to a custom built rock crawler and ZERO problems from it.
Had this receiver for 2 years in many different vehicles. Not a single problem to report.
I have the Tekin Pro4 which is one of the popular motors to run for short course and was having problems with my SR300 receiver glitching/hesistating with the Tekin motor and the Castle MMP combo. Anyway, I tried everything from caps to an external BEC with okay results but it wasn't 100% so I finally decided to install an SR3100 which I just had on the shelf as a spare. Anyway, replacing my receiver with the SR3100 fixed my hesistation problems and the tekin/MMP combo runs great now. I don't know if it will work for everyone but it was the solution for me. I am still running an external BEC only because I don't want to change all the wiring again and I understand that it frees up the ESC so that it doesn't get as hot.
I have problems with this receiver maybe got a bad one, did all the steps as they said to bind the receiver to the radio but everytime it starts responding fine then seems to loose signal 3 meters away after that it still gives my last inputs for a while before it stops any idee on what the problem is?
Good RX but its overpriced. The dsm2 seems to be enough to let me drive farther than I can safely see the car, which was not the case with standard DSM. For less money you can get a 4ch dsmr RX, so it doesn't make sense to buy this at its current price.
Just so everyone knows Amain is wrong this reciever does work with the dx3s radio I run this reciever in my B4.1 with the DX3S radio and its FLAWLESS!!. Also I run the 3520 dsm2 micro in my sc10 and it says it wouldnt work with the DX3S sport radio, Well it does and I recomend both of these recievers and if your running the DX3S sport radio no worries they will bind and work just fine :)
I just wanted all to know that if your antenna has problems the on Futaba antenna works with this one too. The spektrum seems almost impossible to come by. Also the receiver works great with no flaws.
