Team Associated’s Steven Hartson New 4WD World Champion

Team Associated’s Steven Hartson showed some amazing poise in the final A-main, proving he is the world’s best. Hartson ran just behind the leaders for the majority of the race, but rollovers and mistakes allowed Hartson to jump into the lead. Meanwhile, Yokomo’s Naoto Matsukura had moved into the top three after being tenth on the first lap. With just a lap to go Matsukura got right on the rear end of Hartson and the two would battle it out for the final lap. Matsukura rolled the dice and tried to quad into the tabletop to triple rhythm section; his gamble left him broke, literally. Hartson was able to cruise the last quarter of a lap winning the world championship.
