Chico is best known for two things. The first is CSU Chico and the incredible nightlife that goes hand in hand with a fun loving college town. The second is Sierra Nevada BreweryRestaurant and Concert Hall. What you probably didn’t know is that Chico is a town with a rich history and plenty of action to keep you occupied, regardless of age.

Historic Downtown Chico offers a plethora of shopping, and dining establishments, with a diverse and energetic live music scene. For the outdoors enthusiast, Bidwell Park features 3,670-acres, with playgrounds, ball fields, golfing and swimming, as well as biking throughout a vast trail network…the opportunities for adventure are unlimited, and it’s all less than 10 minutes from the track.

At Silver Dollar Fairgrounds
For the race fans, Silver Dollar Fairgrounds is the home of more than just Silver Dollar R/C Raceway. Some of the best dirt oval racers in the state can be found dicing it up at Silver Dollar Speedway every weekend. Those who want to get behind the wheel and do some racing of their own have to stop by Heart Attack Kart Racing for an opportunity to challenge their friends and line up on the grid. Silver Dollar BMX is also located around the corner from the R/C track. All of this racing action can be found within 1000 feet (or so) from the Silver Dollar R/C facilities!
