I don't normally write a lot of reviews, but after struggling to find a box that would work with my JQ The Car Yellow Edition and Novarossi combo, I wanted to give this guy a big thumbs up. I am impressed with the quality and it has worked great for me. It did take some careful setup on the guide posts, but that was expected after being unable to make my setup work with a different box before this one. I am using it with a ProTek 20C 4S starter box battery and they pair up for a nice light an[More…]

My first starter box used with my RB One. It suits perfectly to RB One because the wheel is big and reaches perfectly the fly wheel. I use it with two lipos 2s 5800 mah: let's say that it can start engines for at least 2-4 months without recharging lipos!! (I go on the track every weekend). The only disappointment: why they put a tamiya plug?? It's useless... I had to solder 2 dean plug in serial instead. I would have done a smaller handle so it can be even more transportable.

This is my starter box of choice when it comes to durabilty and power for starting my Nova Rossi engines. This box had the starter wheel more exposed than any other box I have ever used. This particular feature allows me to properly align and connect with the flywheel start after start. I definitely recommend this box if your buggy or truggy has a difficult to reach flywheel.

Great starter box for 1/8 cars! Only has a single motor but it is big and powerful. With two 2S lipos this box starts new 1/8 motors with ease. Nice that it can be setup to start off-road buggies or on-road cars since it is getting harder and harder to find a good 1/8 on-road starter box anymore. It is also very narrow which again helps with today’s 1/8 on-road cars. You won’t have issues with any of the wheels rubbing the side of the starter box.
