This is an AWESOME Truggy! I bought this kit and also bought the Tekno electric conversion kit at the same time. It went together good and rips with the castle 2200kv motor. I looked at other brands in the 1/8 truggy and this is the most product for the money. I am sure I would be happy with the other too, but I'd be out an extra $200! Can't go wrong with this one!

This truggy is awesome, truly incredible performer. Im running an OS V-Spec in mine! At the track people constantly compliment me on how nimble and fast I am with it, it really is a great handling truck. Its agile yet controllable and very fast especially through the bumps. At my track most people I pass is through the rough where I can just open up the throttle and they have to go very easy. Another strong point is the trucks durability, no issues there. got about 2 gallons of fuel through mine[More…]

This truggy is a boss, i got the electric conversion from rc monster and now running a tekin rx8 with tekin 2050kv motor and it it tears. Only broken the little plastic connecting loop on the end of the shock but it just threads off...simple fix and that was from going about 50 into a pallet of bricks. BEST Truggy

I am new to 1/8 truggy and have raced this for the first time recently. I put in the Tessman setup and it's so easy to drive! I put it together myself and everything went smoothly - All of the kit parts were bagged in order of operation with nothing missing. For the lowest truggy price out there, it even included wheels. I've had a couple of gnarly crashes that had me rolling pretty hard, and the only thing that's broke so far was the small plastic piece that holds the wing to the wing mount. To[More…]

Whats there to not like? Everything i saw in the build was quality stuff. Instructions are easy to follow. Match a parts bag to the step in the book. Good photos and reference. I dont have much to say about the track yet as i have yet to bring it. I have run it in the yard and WOW, this thing is going to be easy to drive. Handles like a champ and soaks up bumps very well. The shocks and suspension are really nothing shy of amazing, esp for a "budget" kit. Running mine with werks b5/2057 w/spacer[More…]

This is a phenomenal truggy kit! Do not let the price deter you. The saying " you get what you pay for" does not apply here! This is the first truggy kit I have built; others were bought used. The quality is great. I was really imptessed with the build. Take your time and enjoy it. Instructuon booklet is detailed and well printed. Plenty of shock & diff oil provided. Do not worry about the steering slop as it is suppose to be there. I have a Hitec 7954 HV for steering and the response is awesome[More…]

I have a computer/hobby shop in East Texas. I had this truggy come in FULLY upgraded, all aluminum and carbon fiber. I didn't know what I had. It had a Lamberto Collari .32 and I sold it to a guy new to the hobby. Four months later, I realized I wished I would have kept it. Decided to go through my invoices, find his number and call him to see if he would be interested in selling it back to me. UREKA! He not only still had it, but actually had tried to crank it that day and couldn't, so he was w[More…]

Just received mine and so far the build is going great. Quality materials included which I wasn't expecting considering this is half the price of other truggy kits. A few things you should beware of is the slop in the wheels, I'd suggest shimming all the areas where slop is noticeable. Overall seems like a very strong truggy and ive built many kits including serpent, tekno, associated, losi, Durango, ofna etc. Can't wait till the "tessmann" d8t comes out in a few months I'll be all over it.

It's a nice truggy---WELL worth the price. A good starter-kit for someone who wants to get into racing--or you can bash it. Front suspension blocks are a weak point. There are a few mods or aftermarket parts you can get to capture the hinge pins...else you'll pop an arm at the worst possible time. Build was easy.

I haven't been in this hobby a long time, but I do know that when you can say you haven't broke ANYTHING on a kit in over 1 1/2 years... ITS A GOOD KIT! I have this kit converted to electric with the Tekno chassis and it is a TANK! I have crashed, tumbled, mashed, dropped, rammed, and jumped (very big air at a monster truck show)... and have yet to break ANYTHING! No stripped screws, bent parts, ANYTHING. Then add to the fact you can get this kit for so cheap and it makes it even that much bette[More…]

Great truggy.......losi, associated, durango, kyosho are all have great truggies but you can't beat the quality & price of the d8t & to put the icing on the cake ty tessmann just won the 2013 ROAR nitro off-road truggy finals with the d8t!!!!!!

This truggy will run with the best of them at a fraction of the cost! Very tough and durable. Great shock package as well. This is the best bang for the buck on the market right now! If your looking to get into truggy racing save yourself some money and buy a D8T. You will thank me later... :-)

bought this d8t in janurary 2011 got a picco .28 with spektrum radio and savox servo's and pro-line caliper tires and this is what u want to race with hot bodies nail'd it.. I was use to drivin Revo's and i thought that they were good every one should own a d8t or any truggy for that matter i will be buying another d8t soon just to have, buildin it was sweet. no problems. after about 8 to 10 hours of drivin the d8t finally broke a front wheel carrier......and this this truggy has been beat...

This truck does what they say(Easy to drive, smooth, and you will put down consistant laps) however the front center drive pin wears extremly fast. I tried the updated one with the new coupler and it wore out to. I finally purchased the tecno coupler with the retaining ring and put in a xray drive pin from my 808 buggy problem solved. The rear hubs break consistantly had to get aliminum ones. All in all its a good truck and you get what you pay for I did notice no matter what setup i ran it liked o[More…]

I have three of these for whatever reason they ARE COOL!!! Converted all but one to electric and they are fun and competitive in any config. Best truggy for the money and I can do circles around the rc8t's and the losi's. The only one I have not compared to is the MBX6T. I love Mugen too so it might be time to buy one of those soon : ) Thanks A Main.

My D8 arms lasted a whole season before I changed them. So, far my D8T arms have been really good. The good thing is when they do wear they still don't break but bend. I would rather have an arm that would bend during a race than one that will snap and result in a DNF.
