I'm very unhappy with this plane. I bought it as a nice little beginner plane and when I got it was extremely happy; until I had to try and modify the E-flight Park 250 motor...the shaft of the motor was supposed to be altered by removing the little "c" clip and 2 tiny washers, then "gently tap" the motor drive shaft until the long end was sticking out of the opposite end of the original design. I read directions on how to do this process and even searched out a video on the net for it. I went by exactly what the directions AND the video described to do and "gently tap" was a downright LIE. I ended up getting a tabletop vise, like the instructions and the video recommended and the driveshaft ended up snapping...which is doing it just as instructed. I don't hold A-Main hobbies responsible at all, but E-Flite, the producer of this plane I am VERY upset with, and will probably NEVER buy from them again. The motor is the exact one recommended in the plane's instructions and I felt that when I broke the drive shaft that it was just a way for E-Flite to weasel more money out of me for a new motor. This is my opinion and I'm not desparaging E-Flite, but I AM referring to the lack of proper/good instruction on the motor modification. Why should we have to modify the motor anyway??? It should come from the company ready to go, except for mounting it in the plane. If anyone has any way they can help me figure this out, please get a hold of me. I have yet to get this plane in the air! Thanks E-Flite for a horrible introduction to a hobby that I thought was going to be fun and relaxing!!! NOT.
