Express Motorsports "Ripper" D3.5 Brushless Motor (17.5T)
Motor seems rather strong and the power is linear and smooth. Wish Express actually packaged their products properly! I received my motor with several dings in the end bell and can due to lack of protection during shipping and handling. Doesn't seem to top my Schuur Speed though! Overall it is a good motor and runs fairly cool, temps around 130* in my 22 2.0 running in the 17.5 blinky class.

Express Motorsports "Ripper" D3.5 Brushless Motor (17.5T)
If you have any issues with Express Motorsports they have no customer service at all. Also A Main will not help you with your problem stating that it has to go through Express which has no customer service and the phone number A main gives you is the wrong number. The issue I had is that the newer D3.5 sensor boards pulls more current than the old ones. The higher current draw would drain down the booster and the esc would lose its sensor signal. I had no issues with an older d3.5 17.5 I was running. The motor was installed in a 1/10 pan car running a 1s battery with a voltage booster. I was able to fix the problem by upgrading to a novak 6v 3amp booster. Minus all the problems the motor is average for 1/10 oval racing and not any better than the bone stock one I had. Also the motor is just shipped in a bag with no padding. Based on my experience I will never buy a Express motor again.

Express Motorsports "Ripper" D3.5 Brushless Motor (17.5T)
I have been running 4WD stock for a year and have tried SP 17.5 (1cell and V3), a Schuur Speed 17.5 and a Keyence Luxon KG from Japan with a variety of different outcomes after trying various gearing combinations. I always seem to be lacking in low end torque when I get the gearing right for our high speed track. This motor not only gave me the torque I was looking for, but it added a significant amount of top end to the power band with an FDR of 5.8. This thing is seriously an advantage in stock class. I will be getting one for my 2WD as soon as it gets back in stock.

Express Motorsports "Ripper" D3.5 Brushless Motor (17.5T)
I really wasted my money on this motor. It isn't any faster than any other stock 17.5 D3.5 motor I have had. In fact it doesn't even have as much torque as the D3.5 I put my own $24.00 high torque rotor in, and they call this a HT motor. I really wish I could get my money back, I will never purchase a Express Motorsports motor again.
