Grab the rocks and climb the toughest ascents with the amazing HB Rover tires! These tires are taking the crawling community by storm, because of their awesome flexibility, tall profile and unique inner foam characteristics.

Extensively tested in real competition by the HPI/HB crawler team, rock crawling fanatics have been raving about the Rovers since they first saw it in action. Now that they have the chance to try it on their own rigs, the word has been spreading and the verdict is: TREMENDOUS!

The more these tires are run, the better they perform, on all types of rock: granite, sandstone, and more. Even in wet conditions they will excel - just give them a try!

Hot Bodies Rover 2.2 Rock Crawler Tire (White)
The rovers are some of the best tires out there.... I found for these to mount on stock axial sized wheels with Team Trinity TK1512 firm inserts, allows them to be floppy as well as firm on the side walls with excellent control and traction yea I know some think I am crazy yet this application is the best I have ever tried..

Hot Bodies Rover 2.2 Rock Crawler Tire (White)
I have been crawling since before it was called rock crawling. If any of you remember JK's mudcow website from 15 years ago you will know that I'm legit. I have put thousands of dollars into tires trying everything that I could and have found that for 2.2 wheels there is nothing better for competative crawling on Utah rocks than the hot bodies rovers white compound. The only exception is in very cold weather the hot bodies pink compound seems to hook up a little better. I am very pleased with these tires and will run nothing else. If you have any doubts then try something else and waist you money because there is nothing better in my honest opinion. True the tires are not a scale replica of something produced full size but for competition crawling they are perfect. I have tried lots of different foam inserts and have finally settled on some smaller foam inserts to give a larger footprint, yes it makes the tire a little floppy but thats the point for maximum traction. These tires are not meant for racing around a track so they are not designed with sidewall suporting foam like a race truck tire. Bottom line these are the best thing that I have found as of yet and if I find something better I will go to that when the time comes but for now its the Rovers! Yes I did and do recomend these tires if you want the most capable crawler possible.

Hot Bodies Rover 2.2 Rock Crawler Tire (White)
I have not tried these tires on the rocks yet but don't go to the next post just yet thinking I don't know anything about these. You WILL HAVE TO order the Proline 2.2, 2 Stage, Oversize Foam Inserts. Without these you will have saggy, loose tires as the included foams are way too small. Bummer Hot Bodies, make a great tire and send useless foams with it....Great way to get a bad name. Anyway, foam issues aside don't hesitate to buy these, especially if you feel like you need some additional clearance for those tough climbs, these are HUGE, both high and wide. I'll post back after some real rock time..... Going to Black River Falls Lake Arbutus park in North Central Wisconsin, awesome crawling spots everywhere, both big and small rock. Google the park, maybe we start a comp out there everybody!?!? :)
