Surprise, surprise. Jared Tebo went 4 for 4 on Friday, winning both rounds in both classes to nail down the overall TQ. His factory Kyosho MP9 TKI 3 and ST-RR Evo were the class of the field, consistently setting the fastest pace and rightfully earning the front spot on the grid.

Thursday’s birthday boy Mark Pavidis, who became eligible for the 40+ class just in time for practice, rallied through Friday’s two rounds to grab provisional top-10 positions in both classes (tenth in truck, seventh in buggy). He and teammate Barry Baker (winner of The Dirt Nitro Challenge in 40+ Buggy) traded TQ and 2nd place runs in the 40+ Buggy class, guaranteeing that the pair will start 1-2 for Sunday’s A-Main event.

Defending World Champion Cody King also had a stellar Day One of racing, sitting 6th in Truck and 3rd in Buggy going into the final round. King feels comfortable with both cars heading into tomorrow’s main events, with his father stating that their biggest worry is that he’ll be running #6 on his buggy!

A Main Hobbies and ProTek R/C team driver results after two rounds:
