Scott Rapoport Reports On the Michigan State Championship Series

September 21st, 2012

Wow, the Michigan State Championship Series is almost over now, as I just finished up round 7 of 8 at Stateline Raceway in Freemont, IN.  I TQ’d and won electric 8th scale buggy, qualified 2nd and won nitro truggy and qualified 4th and got 3rd in 4x4SC.  This puts me 2nd in the series in electric 8th scale buggy, 3rd in the series in nitro truggy and 2nd in the series in 4x4SC.  With round 8 coming up on 9/29/12, I look forward to winning electric 8th scale buggy, nitro truggy and landing on the podium for 4x4SC.  That should move me up slightly in each class, so I could finish 1st in electric 8th scale, 2nd in nitro truggy and 2nd in 4x4SC for the series.  It’s been a great season so far!

Aside from the series races, I’ve caught a couple regional races as well.  In June, I raced the King of Kings race at Stateline Raceway in Freemont, IN.  I TQ’d and won electric 8th scale buggy and qualified 4th in nitro truggy and finished 5th (flame out 10ft before the line right before my first pit).

In August, I raced the 3rd round of the Northern Indiana RC Super Series and TQ’d and won nitro buggy.

I’m really enjoying the new friends I’ve made here in Michigan and have gained the respect of many with my friendly demeanor and good attitude.  Along the way, I’ve taken every chance to turn people towards the products I’m representing, A Main Hobbies, AKA, ProTek, OS Speed, O’Donnell Fuel and TKO bearings.  Thank you all for you continued support!
